On a Monday Morning

Do you travel to work depressed by the prospect of facing another week? Or do you travel to work excited by the possibilities?

Do you travel to work already aggravated by that one student who you can’t seem to reach? Or do you travel to work pondering ways to better reach him?

Do you travel to work worrying about everything that might go wrong this week? Or do you travel to work anticipating everything that might go right?

When you walk into your school and classroom, do you drag yourself through the door? Or do you feel an extra bounce in your step?

When your students see you for the first time each week, do they sense in you a dread about what lies before you? Or do they sense in you an excitement?

Monday mornings are often quite tough, but they give us a fresh slate for the coming days. Have a wonderful week, my friends!

  1. Isn’t it great to feel that way. I’m so lucky. I hope there aren’t many teachers that feel dread.
